New Policy and Procedures Regarding Reports and Evaluations From Treatment Agencies

Effective August 1, 2006, regional courts adopted new policies and procedures regarding chemical dependency evaluations and compliance reports from drug and alcohol treatment agencies. Click here for details in PDF format.


Yakima Video Visitation Hours

Video visitation hours have changed for inmates housed at Yakima County Jail.

New Hours :
Tuesdays from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm (last visit will start at 7:30pm)
Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm (last visit will start at 7:30pm)
Thursdays from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm (last visit will start at 5:00pm)

The visitation office is no longer open on weekends.

Drop-in Child Care Center

  • Location: Seattle Justice Center, 2nd Floor
  • Days of Operation: Mondays and Thursdays from 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM Closed from noon-1:15 PM
  • Cost: No cost to families. Donations accepted.

  • Funding: Children’s Home Society of Washington will continue to raise funds for the program.
  • Juror Donations: Jurors have donated over $38,000 since the child care opened in 2006.
  • Collaboration: The childcare will soon open its doors to King County District and Superior Courts. Stay tuned.

Traffic Safety (Red Light) Camera Program Now In Effect

Seattle has instituted a new program called Traffic Safety cameras. These cameras take photos of vehicles running a red light at selected intersections. If you have received one these citations, you can visit our traffic safety camera page for further information and instructions.


Court Public Information (CPI)

What is CPI?

  • CPI is “view only” internet access for the general public. CPI interfaces to non-confidential Court case records in MCIS (Municipal Court Information System). It allows the public to query and verify information with the Municipal Court of Seattle.
  • CPI Enhances the current public access application (Courthouse Kiosk) that is only available for use during Court business hours within the Seattle Justice Center.
  • This information is provided for use as reference material. The user should verify the information by personally consulting the "official" record filed at Seattle Municipal Court. For information confirmation, either contact the Court at 206-684-5600 or visit us at 600 5th Ave. (click here for directions.)
  • NOTE: CPI Is unavailable from 5:30am to 7:30am during datbase updates.
  • NOTE: You CAN NOT pay tickets or schedule hearings through this application.

Wireless Internet Access Available for Jurors

The Court has installed a wireless access point in the Jury Assembly Room. This access will allow jurors who bring their laptops to access the internet. Click to find out more.
